Velocity NYP

Bad competition. VERY VERY bad. Honestly everything from the start was dam screwed. I only went cos I was rotting at home + Andrew's persuasion.

Screwness of all screwness, they really got screwed big time few minutes into the competition. This guy fell from the 2nd wall and hit the back of his head when he fell. I knew something bad would happen sooner or later. The crash mats were freaking high jumper mats which are like bouncy and NOT for climbing kind- People could easily sprain their ankle when they fall on such soft mats. Plus they are slippery AND small. So the guy just happily fell from around 4-5 metres backwards and hit his head. Saw the entire thing happened which was quite saddening. He hit his head, rolled his eyes and was like instantly in a daze and unconscious. Wished I could have done more to help but it seems pretty serious.

Ridiculous. Climb to a height of 5-6 metres with a crash mat that's covering 1 metres? -.- The committee is impossible man.

Anyways it just made me realise how fragile life was. The guy could have easily got paralysed or even died just to make that move. We always have to put safety as top priority and not do anything stupid. Rock climbing IS dangerous indeed- When proper safety procedures are NOT taken into considerations. Even Haroz had to like do stuff for them like cordon off the climbing areas.

Hope that guy is doing fine.

Quiting rockclimbing tomorrow. Life is far too precious to play with.

YAH RIGHT -.- HAHAHAHAHA
